I don't know about you, but I am pretty pumped for the season premiere of Degrassi: 13C. I can't wait to see more of Zig since his appearance a while back. So, here is this week's Tumblr Tuesday to get excited for tonight!
Last night I tuned in to the red carpet scene for the Grammys. Like the Golden Globes, I thought I'd show you my top three dresses. (Left: Colbie Caillat, Middle: Madonna, Right: Beyonce) Though Katy Perry dress was not my favorite of the night, I thought it was so beautiful and it was my personal favorite for the fact that these artists were going to the Grammys. I loved the musical elements put into the dress.
Inspired by Emilie Autumn's The Asylum for Wayward Victorian Girls, this Tumblr Tuesday combines classical Victorian-age fashion and steampunk. So remember girls, keep your corsets tight, your morals high, your knitting neat, and your yappers shut. (Lyrics from Emilie Autumn's Girls! Girls! Girls!) Six days ago, on January 12th, most of us probably checked out the red carpet scene of the Golden Globes. In my opinion, I thought these three had gorgeous dresses. (Left: Tina Fey, Middle: Cate Blanchett, Right: Sophia Vergara I love Jennifer Lawrence as much as the next person, but I was quite disappointed with her dress. I just thought it looked too similar to the one she wore during the Oscars 2013.
This week for Tumblr Tuesday I decided to go with my biggest inspiration: ballet. If you didn't notice already, that is where my name came from. So enjoy this week's long (ish?) Tumblr Tuesday. And if you want to see more of my inspiration for fashion and dance, along with other random posts, you should follow my Tumblr. Most readers might have thought I was talking about the popular television show when they saw the title. (Honestly, I'm too scared to watch that show.) Since my area has been snowed in, I've been stuck to absorb my recent post a couple days ago. Zombies. As a normal person, I get acne. Don't most people? As a treatment, I decided to resort to a face mask I found on Pinterest. (Check out my Pinterest page for other masks like this.) All you will need is some baking soda and water. Mix together in a small container until it becomes a paste. You can spread it on your face or use it as a spot treatment.
I had my doubts that this wouldn't work. After taking it off after about ten minutes, I did notice a big difference. The redness of my face was at a minimal. I have few bad spots on my face, but those spots' swelling had gone down. The baking soda also serves as an exfoliant so my face even felt softer afterward. My acne looked so much better - as good as acne can look - and I was so much happier. I encourage anyone with my problem to try this mask. It works miracles! Today I had planned on doing a N.Y.E. OOTD, but I realized I wasn't even ready for that. As 2013 comes to an end, it allows me to reflect on all the great memories (and all the bad memories) that I have had. One of them has been starting this blog this month. All of you readers, new and old, have welcomed me. Over 300 people have come here in less than thirty days! I know that may not sound like a lot of people to you, but to me it makes me realize that over 300 have taken time out of their lives to read my blog. I thank you all for that. Another great memory of this year would be finding my inspiration. This woman isn't into beauty and fashion. She's a musician. To be quite honest, expect a post about this topic in the near future. She has made me realize that the life we live is ONE (which I haven't been able to grasp very well) and that each day really does count. And you can spend them unhappy or happy. It really is a simple choice. Though I'm sure there were plenty of bad memories of 2013, I'm done obsessing over the negative influences in my life. I hope that you decide to join me with that. Everything that happens after tonight will be "so last year." My 2014 Resolution:
I want to be a happier person that isn't afraid of what people will think. Be fearless. Actually upload videos for you. :) Warm Bodies. (Warning: Possible Spoiler Alert) The new movie released February 1st, 2013 just now got to my television. I love movies so there will probably be more of these to come (behold the most random rambler). So here is the lesson I learned from this funny, heart-string-pulling film. And must I say that not only did Nicholas Hoult do a great portrayal, this movie made me develop a huge crush on him. (I think I have a thing for zombies.) 1.) People are not to be feared by appearance
Though I must admit that if I saw a brain-eating zombie approaching me, I would't exactly think of a friend. Everyone is different and unique in our way. Even if they don't fit in, that doesn't mean they will all be the same. You never know who you will click with. 2.) People change. I'm not just talking about appearances. When people can subside their differences and work together, they really could save the world. Initial opinions ruin our open-mindedness that even the most scholarly scholar must have. 3.) All we need is love.... (literally) If you hadn't already watched the film, I highly suggest this film. But as we watch the film near the ending, we see the zombies start to remember loved ones. Then, their heart started to beat. (Tear-jerker anyone?) The love that Julie has for R even begins to help his transformation into a human. I know this may sound naive, but what if we just tried to love each other more? A cure to world peace, maybe? |
