Warm Bodies. (Warning: Possible Spoiler Alert) The new movie released February 1st, 2013 just now got to my television. I love movies so there will probably be more of these to come (behold the most random rambler). So here is the lesson I learned from this funny, heart-string-pulling film. And must I say that not only did Nicholas Hoult do a great portrayal, this movie made me develop a huge crush on him. (I think I have a thing for zombies.)
1.) People are not to be feared by appearance
Though I must admit that if I saw a brain-eating zombie approaching me, I would't exactly think of a friend. Everyone is different and unique in our way. Even if they don't fit in, that doesn't mean they will all be the same. You never know who you will click with.
2.) People change.
I'm not just talking about appearances. When people can subside their differences and work together, they really could save the world. Initial opinions ruin our open-mindedness that even the most scholarly scholar must have.
3.) All we need is love.... (literally)
If you hadn't already watched the film, I highly suggest this film. But as we watch the film near the ending, we see the zombies start to remember loved ones. Then, their heart started to beat. (Tear-jerker anyone?) The love that Julie has for R even begins to help his transformation into a human. I know this may sound naive, but what if we just tried to love each other more? A cure to world peace, maybe?
