Since I know most of you that read my blog are directed over from my Pinterest, I decided to show you my favorite articles that I pinned this week. But please, if you enjoy any of my material, I hope you will come again. I can't wait to show you my upcoming articles for spring and summer!
Now that spring is starting to come into play, I have been wanting to try new things to rid myself of the winter-time blues. I don't know if it's my Midwestern side coming out, but I have been wanting to jump on the opportunity to wear overalls! I think that now they have become more fashionably acceptable and I can't wait to strut around in a pair.
Wow, I haven't done one of these in a while. Anyways, I am on the quest for a VW Van! That right. I'm giving up college to travel the country in a van, playing the ukulele and putting together a musical act for a living. The World MasterCard Fashion Week was held in Toronto last week. Searching around on Instagram, I found an amazing designer, Mikael D. From the variety of colors to the cutouts and lace, I fell in LOVE.
Happy Spring! I am so ready for spring fashion. I've officially moved on from winter. To kick off the season, here are my top 3 favorite spring trends for 2014. 1.) Denim on Denim I've personally been trying to fit this style in as much as I can (hold for upcoming post). As a flashback from the 90's, I think it is such a casual style that can be transformed into a nice looking outfit. 2.) Sheer Chiffon I don't know about you but it is very unlikely that I will ever stop loving chiffon. I look its elegance and flowiness. And this particular dress kind of refers to the next trend below. 3.) Pastels
Oh, my favorite colors! Light and lovely, these colors in totally in and I know I'm jumping in. Happy Belated St. Patrick's Day! I tried to post this yesterday but the webpage wouldn't load. But no fear, Spring is here! Make a statement this upcoming spring for almost half the price with this adorable necklace. You can click on the image to go to my Polyvore page and find out where you can buy this lovely piece by Loopsway.
When I was shopping the other day, I ran across the most gorgeous shoe ever. They fit perfectly and looked great. It wasn't even the price that scared me. I just walked away. I totally regret doing that and might have to go back to get the shoe. Is it not the perfect shoe for spring? You can purchase these delights at Kohl's. It is the ELLE Floral Peep-Toe High Heel in the woman's shoe section.
On Saturday, I attended a jazz band dance at my school. It was raising money to help the marching band pay for new uniforms which haven't been replaced since the year I was born! I was really fond of this new dress that I got the other day and couldn't wait to show you guys. Not only did it look great from the front, the cut out back that exposed the shoulders made it so adorable. The great thing... I can wear it when it starts to get warmer as a summer dress (You know, what it's supposed to be worn as).
Since Mardi Gra is upon us, I decided to show the perfect nail polish for this occasion. It is Opi's Rainbow Connection. If you don't know already, I will be heading off to Vegas tomorrow. I decided to go get a pedicure with my mom before heading off. It was a perfect opportunity to take a closer look at the Brazil Collection (If you haven't seen my article on it, check it out on the Beauty page). I decided to go with AmazON... AmazOFF. It was a bit dark for what I was going for but I must say, it is a gorgeous color.
I have been planning to do this for so long. I've looked around Youtube and other sources but haven't really found anything quite like a challenge. They've all been monthly reviews, but I'm not really into that.
At the end of this month I will post the before and after pictures. I can't wait to see the results! To do this challenge, I decided to keep my normal hair routine like straightening my hair every three days and using ponytail holders to keep my hair out of my face. |
